Did you put yourself on the National Do Not Call Registry? If you have your number listed on the registry, its illegal for telemarketers to call you.
I put my phone numbers on it last year, and have not gotten a single phone call from a telemarketer since.

To Jane:
I thought The Last Emperor was horrible. They exoticized and romanticized Chinese people. I don't think there was one time in the movie where they portrayed Chinese people as "normal." It was a Chinese movie told thru the eyes of a non-Chinese person, in my opinion.
So, Jane, my follow up question would have been about the cultural revolution, sort of. Do you think Mao Zedong contributed anything to China? if yes, what?
So, I've been arguing recently with a lot of Chinese nationals about Mao's contributions to China. I've never taken any classes on it, but was wondering what American schools taught.

Speaking of Chinese history, does anyone follow contemporary (1900-present) Chinese history?
